This book is considered a spiritual classic, what do you think that means and why? Because it shows people that you should not follow "the flock". It makes you think how you should be like, and except how your are and not change for someone else. You should not change your self just so you can fit in. In the book it talks about love, he loved even those who rejected him. It encourages you to be different and to take risks even if it means becoming an outcast.

Write three paragraphs about the book, first what you thought of it, 2 ND what was the author trying to say about people compared to the behavior that he wrote about birds and last tell Little about his friends chiang and Fletcher Lynd Seagull.

I thought that the book was hard to follow at the beginning.Later on I understood the book a lot better. In some parts of the book, I had to reread it more than once. When I understood the book I ended up liking it. The book probably effected me more than I know. It gave me courage to be different.

Because Jonathan Livingston wanted to learn how to really fly and because he thought there was more to life than just eating. He was made an outcast and made fun of. An example that happened to me is, I like to wear long colorful sucks with shorts.I was called names and teased, but did that stop me from wearing them no cause I loved them they made me feel good. Like Jonathan Livingston liked to fly. We both did not give in to peer pressure.

In the beginning Jonathan Livingston had no friends, he was an out cast but when he meet Chiang,Chiang taught him everything that he knew. One day Chiang disappeared into a bright light leaving john with four words " Keep looking for love". Jonathan taught the younger birds that there s more to life. Some point in time Jonathan wanted to go back to help the birds that so blinded to not listen to what he was trying to teach them. So when he went back he meet a bird named Fletcher. Jonathan taught Fletcher a lot but the time came when John had to go and help other birds just like Fletcher. So john left and Fletcher instructed other young birds. Fletcher speed the light of knowledge.

Some suggestions for you, remember that he did not conform, and became an outcast, later he that he is " a one in a million bird" he is unique and unlike others, he follows the path of The outcast-the journey- the mentor-and the return to teach others, this might be useful to include. Remember how he wants to bring others to learn and experience what he has, do you think that this is something most people want to do when they learn and go beyond conformity?
